This tool is expensive and it's plastic. What are you going to do? That's the way things are today - if it was metal it would cost 10x what it does. Anyway, you can't abuse it, but, if you use it as instructed, it will do the job and last. The Sure-Cut will save time and packing with precision butt cuts and skive cuts. Cutting guide fence is easily adjusted to accommodate both 90 degree (butt) joins and 45 degree (skive) joins. Textured surface grips the packing while cutting.
The Sure-Cut Packing Cutter also cuts most rubber O-Rings and many common sealing strip materials such as engineering felt making it a versatile tool that will save you time and minimize waste while maintaining valves and pumps. Note: Not designed for use with 100% Aramid (Kevlar) Packing
