Style #1961 - Carbon Yarn/Graphite packing is designed for severe service applications in pumps and valves, including superheated steam, acids, alkalis, and more. Constructed with carbon yarn heavily impregnated with a graphite dispersion, it offers exceptional performance in demanding environments. Featuring an interlock braid design, it is suitable for temperatures up to 850°F (455°C) in atmospheric conditions and 1200°F (650°C) in steam, shaft speeds up to 4000 R.P.M., pump pressures up to 500 PSI (35 Bar), and valve pressures up to 2500 PSI (170 Bar). It operates across a pH range of 0-14, with exceptions for concentrated or hot sulfuric and nitric acids.
